St Brigid's Day Luncheon

On Saturday 31st January, the day before the official Feast Day, our Club hosted once again the annual St. Bridgid’s Day Luncheon. 

Members, guests and visitors were treated to an enjoyable occasion, with Women in Harmony providing special musical entertainment and guest speaker, Jane Smith, delivering an informative address about the true story of recidivist convict offender, Hannah Rigby. Not only did attendees learn about Hannah’s story in Jane’s book “One Free Woman”, but they were given insights into the research required for writing such a tale.

Table decorations were superb, indicating much behind the scenes work by Club volunteers. Our own St. Bridgid’s Crosses were a prominent feature of table décor.
